A Microgrid is a named rollup of your existing systems – useful for reporting on several independent sites as one portfolio (e.g. “all of our community’s cabins combined”). Create one, then use “Manage Systems” to check which of your systems belong to it. Systems are completely unaffected by this – they keep their own hardware and their own Dashboard exactly as before; a microgrid just adds their numbers together (combined panels, batteries, cost, and a combined monthly generation-vs-consumption chart).

Important: this is a portfolio total, not a simulation of a physically interconnected power system. It doesn’t model power actually flowing between sites – if you need that, treat this as a starting point for a conversation with an engineer, not a substitute for one.

On Systems, any system that’s in a microgrid shows a badge with the microgrid’s name (click it to jump to that microgrid’s dashboard), and a filter dropdown lets you narrow the list to one microgrid or to systems not in any microgrid. A system can’t be deleted while it’s still a member of a microgrid – remove it there first (its delete button becomes a lock icon as a reminder).
