Empowering Communities to Build Energy Independence.
GridBuilders.org is a non-profit organization providing the education, professional training, and specialized software needed to design and deploy resilient community microgrids.
Our Origin
We formed out of a deep compassion for the thousands of lives lost to preventable energy crises. Following Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, nearly 3,000 people tragically lost their lives due to the total failure of the power grid.
A lack of power shuts down local medical clinics, closes pharmacies, and disrupts grocery stores. These are the critical community pillars that people depend on for daily survival. We believe that by democratizing knowledge and technology, we can prevent these catastrophic failures.
What We Provide
We do not build physical grids; instead, we equip local leaders, engineers, and citizens with the exact resources required to achieve energy reliability:
Microgrid Planning Software: Powerful software tools designed specifically to help local communities plan, model, and develop independent microgrids.
Professional Training & Certification: Comprehensive courses that prepare individuals for careers and technical roles in solar and wind energy.
Free Educational Resources: Accessible high-quality videos and informational guides to demystify renewable energy systems.
The Non-Profit Guarantee
To ensure our educational mission remains pure, GridBuilders.org operates with absolute financial integrity:
- Zero Dividends: We do not answer to corporate shareholders.
- Zero Executive Bonuses: Our team is focused entirely on community impact, not financial incentives.
- 100% Reinvested: Every contribution directly funds free training videos, public information, and software access.
